Osaka Study Group Meeting November 17th (Sun) ■Completed■
Dear teachers,
It seems like autumn is coming slowly but surely.
We hope you are enjoying your classes with your students.
Our main topic for the next Osaka Study Group Meeting is the present progressive tense.
We receive a lot of request on this grammar point. So it seems like a lot of Japanese young learners have difficulties in handling this grammar point and maybe the teachers are finding it difficult to teach, too.
When we look at our classes, students know that they need the 'ing' but may drop the be verb, or are not certain in how to change the be verb according to the subject.
How should we help our students learn better?
With the MAT METHOD, we use the magical 6-second DRILLs so that the students can learn it quickly within the unit.
At our meeting, we would like to share some fun and efficient ideas on how to teach the progressive tense easily without stress. Since it is the season we look forward to Christmas, we will introduce some Learning Activities where Santa Claus and his wife, Mrs. Clause will join in.
So please come and join us and learn about the Model Action Talk (MAT) METHOD!!
Please make a reservation now to assure your seat.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon.

OSAKA Study Group Meeting September 8th, 2019 ■Copleted■
Dear teachers,
The word "Summer vacation" reminds us of the exciting feeling before going on an adventure or during challenging new things. Now that it is just in the middle of the Summer Vacation, we hope you are actually enjoying this summer season with challenging and adventurous sparkling experiences.
One of the topics for our next Osaka Study Group Meeting is "How to teach Yes/ No questions".
The newspaper tells us about the great change that we will go through next year when English will be taught as a subject in elementary schools. And one thing that is attracting the teachers' interest is the speaking interaction activity called the "Small Talk". During this activity, students will learn to say Yes or No to various questions from the very early stage, but is it OK just to tell them to say Yes or No.
We sometimes find some students suffering in expressing themselves in Junior high schools and Senior High Schools and they seem to have difficulties in understanding the grammar. Most students feel comfortable answering "Yes, I do." but feel difficult to answer "Yes, it is." We as teachers should be aware of these difficulties and should know how to reduce their stress.
So please come and join us if you are interested in this topic!!

OSAKA Study Group Meeting June 23rd Announcement
Dear Teachers,
We hope you and your students are having a great time in your classes.
The next topics for our Study Group Meeting are:
1 What do you do on Monday? - I go to English class.
2 What does she do on the weekend? - He takes a nap. (Let's Go Book 3)
3 Discuss and share ideas on how we can teach 3rd person singular tense effectively
4 Fun Summer Activities
We always receive requests on this topic. We understand that putting the "s" when it is 3rd personal present tense is difficult to understand since it is not used in the Japanese language.
With the MAT METHOD, we always teach in Small Steps so that the students will learn the idea smoothly. At this session, we will have time to discuss the steps that are needed to avoid misunderstanding and how we can make this learning exciting!
We will also share some FUN summer activities as well.
So please join us now!!
Please reserve now to assure your seat.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon.

OSAKA Study Group Meeting November 25th Announcement
Dear Teachers,
We hope you and your students are having a great time in your classes.
The next topics for our Study Group Meeting are:
1. What do you like to do (during the winter holidays)? - I like to visit my grandparents.
2. Have you ever been to Nara Park? - Yes, I have. No, I haven't.
3 . Fun Christmas Activities
There are many things that the students do especially during the winter holidays. Let's teach suitable verbs so that the students can enjoy expressing what they really like to do! Having the real situation where they want to USE English is very important!
We also often hear that it is difficult to teach the grammar that the students learn at junior high schools. How would you teach present perfect tense, for instance?
With the Model Action Talk (MAT) METHOD, this can be taught in a very fun and efficient way.
Please come and experience the excitement and the satisfaction yourself.
Many teachers have already reserved, so seats are very limited.
Reservation is necessary.
Please reserve now to assure your seat.

OSAKA Study Group Meeting September 2nd Announcement
Dear Teachers,
We hope you and your students are having a great time in your classes.
The next topics for our Study Group Meeting are:
1) The red book is big.
2) Which is bigger? - The red book is bigger.
3) Fun Halloween Activities
We have received questions asking how a grammar point taught in Junior High Schools could be taught with the MAT METHOD. If you learn the basic skills of the MAT METHOD, it can be applied to any kind of learning!! Children will enjoy the learning process itself and be confident in using their knowledge.
With the MAT METHOD, they become to use English without hesitation and will be able to use their energy to THINK what they want to say. Isn't that great?
Please come and experience the excitement and the satisfaction yourself.
Many teachers have already reserved, so seats are very limited.
